New Installation shows MACPRESSE ability to handle plasticFebruary 2010.- After installing a new Macpresse 111AS.1 baler this customer ran a study on processing PET. The results were outstanding. After loading a 53 foot van trailer, it was 13,000 lbs heavier than previous shipments. In addition, it was done with 36 bales as compared to 52 bales before. Here is a comparison chart of baling PET:
You can see the freight cost is cut by 30%. Imagine what that means over the period of a year. The increased density has reduced the bale count by a similar amount, which results in less wire cost per ton, less time handling bales and increased productivity. MAC 110 increases productivityFebruary 2010 - The Macpresse 110.1 installed in this plant is processing more material in less time, reducing bale count and using less wire per ton. When the plastic barrels at the right were processed through the Macpresse 110.1 the resulting bales were 44" long and weights 1160 lbs. Note that the bale is being held together with five single wires. There was no need to double wire.
